Junior Chain Drive

Trail Genius is not just for adults, my 6 year old daughter filmed her race this weekend at the Chain Drive Festival and made her first Trail Genius map.

Junior Chain Drive

The Junior Chain drive is a great event for the whole family.  Starting in the afternoon after the 16 and 32 mile race, parents have time to do their races, get some food and clean up, and then enjoy supporting the next generation of racers.  The course is a loop that starts and finishes at the main finish line next to the Portage Hospital.  With three different distances, the longer races do multiple laps.  My daughter signed up for the 6 and under 1 lap race.  She wore a camera on her helmet and one on her handle bars.  She was very proud to be wearing her Trail Genius jersey and have fancy helmet cams to show off to her friends.  Even with the added weight from two cameras, she still had a great race.  She finished 1st in her class and 3rd over all.  Her map is a must watch, there is nothing like seeing a race through the eyes of a kid.
